Please note:  this month we will meet in a different room:  Friendship Hall is at the basement level, just go to the end of the main hall, down the stairs and turn right. 

 

Every year our November meeting is when we elect our new Board of Directors and Officers.  For the coming year 2025 the proposed BoD are as follows

  President:  James Fang

  Vice President and Secretary:  Carol Mauch

  Treasurer:  Tawnya Albright

  Members at Large: 

    Kevin Thurston

    Larry Brown

    Sean Morton* (new)

    Christopher Duckworth* (new)

Since there are total of 7 (odd number) board members and unless there are last minute nominations, the election will be in the form of Yes/No (approve or disapprove).

 

Angelfish, the growth contest fish has been out since this past May, are due back for their 6-months assessment.  Contestants, bring your biggest specimen and we'll see who's got the big one.  Remember, similar to the Bowl Show, you stand a very good chance of winning if you just bring your fish!

Please arrive early to setup your tank/display and fill out necessary paperwork

Our Auction Chair strikes again!  This time Kevin will show some pictures that will inspire conversations among us fish keepers.  This is an interactive session where attendees are encouraged to share thoughts and experiences with the fish.

   The second half of our regular meeting will feature a mini-auction.

    Sellers are limited to 5 items of anything related to the hobby.

    Sellers will split auction proceeds 50-50 with the Club. Club members

    enjoy an 80-20 split.

1. Catfish. All catfish not listed elsewhere Includes Mochokidae (Synodontis, Upside-down cat, Angelicus, Lucipinnus, Multipunctatus, Lace, Eupterus, etc), Pimelodidae ( Pictus, Red Tail, Shovelnose), Doradidae (Raphael), Ictaluridae (Bullhead), Glass Cats, Bagridae (Black Lancer, Asian Bumblebee), Electric Cat, Callichthyidae (Callichtys, porthole, Hoplo), Pangasius (Irridescent shark), Chacidae (Frogmouth), etc.
   Shown as singles.

2. West African and non-rift lake Cichlids Includes Pelvicachromis (Kribs), Nanochromis, Teleogramma, Steatocranus (Lion head or Block head), Hemichromis (Jewel), Tilapia and its derivatives, Chromidotilapia, Pseudocrenilabrus (Egyptian mouthbrooder), Haplochromis not endemic to a rift lake, Astatotilapia (burtoni).
   Shown as pairs where sex is readily determined otherwise two fish. Fish over six inches may be shown as singles.

3. Bred-by-Exhibitor. Any fish that was bred and raised to sellable size by the person showing the fish
